Lesson 1 - Can I practice in my state/what is my scope of practice?

Your “Scope of Practice” defines your responsibilities and practice guidelines, limited to what the law allows for your specific education, experience, and demonstrated competency. Your “scope” determines the boundaries or permissible activities in which you may engage as a member of a healthcare profession. In many cases, the state in which you work determines your scope.
